Hello NJIS families! We are thrilled to announce that our much-anticipated Literacy Week is just around the corner. Get ready to embark on a journey of words, imagination, and knowledge as we celebrate the joy of reading and storytelling during our annual Literacy Week. This week-long event is designed to ignite a love for books and learning among our students  🎉📖

What to Expect in our Literacy Week, from 4-8 September 2023 

📌 Drop Everything and Read (DEAR): We will read a book together for 10 minutes from Monday to Thursday. Please make sure you bring one book to read during the Literacy Week. 

📌 Author Talks: Meet and greet with Ariyo Zidni & Okky Madasari. They are coming to NJIS. You can have their pre-ordered book here https://tinyurl.com/njispreorderbooks 

📌 I am Reading Photo Lucky Draw: Send us your reading pictures https://tinyurl.com/njisreadingpic and we will do the lucky draw in the Assembly. 

📌 Knowledge Tree Design Competition: We will have a mural design competition for MYP/DP students; send us your design to https://tinyurl.com/njistree The latest design submission is on Wednesday, 6 September 2023, at 5 pm.

📌 Assembly and Dress as Your Favorite Character: On the Assembly, come dressed as your favorite literary character and let your imagination run wild!

📌 Book Fair Extravaganza: Explore a wide range of books at our Book Fair. Discover new adventures, mysteries, and fantasies to add to your reading list. Remember to top up your Flazz Card for the book sale in NJIS from 7-8 September 2023.
