Batik is a way of decorating cloth using wax to resist the cloth dye in certain parts, which can create a beautiful pattern. It originated right here, on the island of Java but appears in many cultures. Yesterday, we celebrated Batik Day, by wearing our most vibrant and beautiful Batiks.
