Iqbal was born in a remote most village of Punjab, Pakistan.  As a student, he spent most of his time in boarding schools and hostels and immediately after completing his education he got his first job as a science teacher in Maldives.  Till that time he has been living abroad moving into different countries and consider himself an international educator.  He is married, father of two sons and a lovely daughter.

This is his 21st year in International teaching and seventh international school. During the last twenty one years, he has gone through a huge shift from being a briefcase teacher to a person who strongly believes in sharing and connectivism. Even though he is still at the bottom level of connectivism and a big lurker but also having an appearance online. The credit for this mind shift does go to COETAIL, Certificate of Educational Technology and Information Literacy. He loves to play tennis but his cricket skills are always a hurdle to being very good at tennis.  Swimming, hiking and badminton are also his favorites.

Reading and being a reading activist have been part of Friska's enthusiasm for years. Her reading interest initiated her to determine library and information science as the starting point of her life path.

Friska has been a librarian/literacy activist and has traveled between Jakarta, Timika, Jayapura, and Batam for more than ten years. She has the vision to help literacy in Indonesia improve, and each of us can take part in building that pathway. She thought that her vision goes along with IB Vision, to share the guardianship of the planet, and she is honored to be part of the IB School Community.

She was awarded the First Winner of the Most Potential Librarian 2021 in Riau Islands Province and Runner Up of the Most Potential Librarian 2017 in Papua Province. It is always easy to converse with her; ask her what book she is currently reading this week.
