At NJIS, these were not just empty words in the NJIS Welcome Song....
New families and students have always been immediately welcomed into the NJIS family.
Students are made to feel at home and safe in the smaller school environment.
Our daughter was a student at excellent NJIS from first to seventh grade.
During this time she received an education,the small classes provided her with lots of opportunity for individual attention and to try new things in a safe environment with the necessary encouragement, challenges, and support from top-notch teachers. We were also part of a larger community who believed in the school’s mission "to make lifelong learners of their students". Currently excelling in Grade 12, she quite often pulls out memories of her time at NJIS!

Dear Principal and Teachers, An exciting school year will soon come to an end and so will our stay at Jakarta, Indonesia. After 12 long years (a life cycle as per Chinese), we will leave the tropics for greener pastures back home in Bombay, India. We have been associated with NJIS since the beginning of Harsh’s education. We shall miss the cozy and friendly surroundings of NJIS. Harsh will now join American School of Bombay. We wish to thank all at NJIS for taking good care and grooming Harsh to face challenges and setting thestage for his future education. Thank you once again and all the best for the future. My wife and I are very pleased to have our daughter at the North Jakarta International School (NJIS). We are particularly gratified by the fact that NJIS continues to understand and emphasize a global experience. Understanding global diversity, cultures, and relationships is very important in today’s world. It is important to us that our child has the opportunity to learn from experience with and enjoy children and faculty from all walks of life. NJIS consciously promotes international awareness and interest through its curriculum, philosophy and practice.
