Welcome to the NJIS Library. At NJIS we believe that the library is the heart of any school. Our mission is to inspire, encourage and equip our school community for a lifelong love of reading and learning while supporting and enhancing school curricular and co-curricular activities.
Towards this aim we provide a comfortable, happy and quiet environment for our inquisitive young learners and endeavor to support the whole school community in their pursuit of quality information and leisure reading material.
We encourage all learners and parents to borrow books from our library. Research consistently proves that reading for pleasure is highly related to learner achievement and improvement in literacy. This includes reading, writing, comprehension, spelling and vocabulary. In order to expose learners to a wide range of texts and topics, learners are encouraged to borrow fiction (literary) and non-fiction (factual texts).
The library is staffed by Teacher Librarian Mr. Shaun Russell and Librarian Mr. Bobby Mercurius Trisanto.
We welcome all parents to get involved in the work of the Library and become a Parent Library Volunteer.
The NJIS library is open fromto .
